PEGASUS

A toolset designed to help ANSPs and users evaluate the performance of satellite navigation signals in space as well as their augmentation.

Access

A toolset which analyses GNSS data collected from different SBAS and GBAS systems, implementing the algorithms issued in MOPS documents. This set of tools is designed to help Air Navigation Service Providers and users evaluate the performance of satellite navigation signals in space as well as their augmentation.

Functionalities

The tool provides several functionalities, such as the computation of position simulating MOPS-compliant receivers and the determination of these GNSS augmentation attributes:

  • accuracy;
  • integrity;
  • computation of trajectory errors;
  • prediction of continuity and availability;
  • simulation of GBAS ground station processing algorithms.

PEGASUS results support:

  • the validation of ICAO, RTCA and EUROCAE GNSS Standards;
  • state campaigns to validate GNSS performance for local regulatory activities;
  • the exchange of comparable results for the rapid accumulation of relevant statistical data;
  • manufacturer-independent verification of augmentation system performance.

Main features

Pegasus has these features:

  • data plausibility checking;
  • SBAS/GBAS GAST-C/D message content distribution;
  • static and dynamic performance evaluation;
  • data integrity analysis;
  • air data calculations;
  • statistics accumulation;
  • multipath investigation;
  • patial extrapolation of augmentation system performance and performance prediction;
  • aircraft Dynamics corrections and translation of data to a common navigation reference point;
  • graphical CSV data file viewer;
  • generic data viewers and predetermined GNSS-specific performance analysis graphs.
