The migration of existing ATM Network Communications services (FMTP, AMHS) to Voice over the Internet Protocol requires the coordinated allocation of IPv6 address spaces and Autonomous System (AS) Numbers.

Our role

At EUROCONTROL, we are the Local Internet Registry (LIR) for internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) assignments for our Member States.

As such, we provide the assignments for IPv6 address spaces and Autonomous System (AS) Numbers for air navigation service providers (ANSPs), allowing them to maintain the IP allocation database in coordination with the European Regional Internet Registry (RIPE).
