Airspace pre-validation

Ensuring that airspace data for operational use is validated prior to the official publication in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), Route Availability Document (RAD) or other publications.

Airspace pre-validation allows NMOC together with the Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and State organisations to validate airspace data for operational use, prior to the official publication in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), Route Availability Document (RAD) or other publications.

The pre-validation procedure begins several AIRAC cycles in advance, when National and Local Environment (ENV) Coordinators (NECs and LECs), Flow Management Positions (FMP) and/or Airspace Management Cell (AMC) may submit their planned airspace modifications to the Network Manager Operations Centre (NMOC) for pre-validation purposes. On request, Aircraft Operators (AO) and Computerised Flight Plan Service Providers (CFSP) may also participate in the pre-validation activities.

NMOC then creates a specific database that is loaded on test systems, in collaboration with the NEC, LEC, the AMC and the FMP specialists in the relevant ANSP. This allows the ANSP team to simulate the impact of the airspace/route structure changes using existing, adapted, or newly created flight plans.

We deliver validate airspace data prior to the official publication.
