iNM Wave 2.5 is building on the capabilities introduced in previous iNM releases known as Waves. This new release significantly expands the services available to aeronautical information providers and users, bringing the aviation community closer to the full transition from the legacy EAD system to the eEAD system, accessed through the new NM User Interface (NMUI) and hosted on the iNM Digital Platform, on NM’s mission critical cloud.

iNM Wave 2.5 delivers the next major step in the rollout of eEAD
iNM Wave 2.5 delivers the next major step in the rollout of eEAD, introducing new digital aeronautical information services and providing the capabilities required for aviation stakeholders to begin their transition from the legacy systems to EUROCONTROL's new Digital Platform, delivered as part of the iNM Programme.
In practice, Wave 2.5:
- Introduces three new digital products — the AIS Document Library (ADL), providing end-to-end management of AIS document files, eAIS packages and Digital Data Sets through workflow-managed publication, with search, packaging, subscriptions, B2B document services and data quality reporting; Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), enabling the creation, publication and management of 3-part AIP/eAIP packages, AIC/eAIC and AIP Supplements; and Chart Production (CHP), a new ICAO Annex 4 and EU 2017/373 compliant capability for producing the full range of ICAO chart types from AIXM 5.1 data sourced directly from eEAD;
- Brings Digital Data Sets (DDS) into operational use, covering data set series, AIS Digital Data Product Specifications, AIXM verification and validation, publication and cancellation workflows, map-based viewing and retrieval, available through both the human interface and SWIM-compliant services;
- Extends data maintenance and NOTAM operations, with Coordination Events allowing organisations to collaborate on AIS data changes, direct release of Digital NOTAM from ADM, advanced GIS drafting and geospatial visualisation, and full integration between Digital NOTAM management and Conventional NOTAM, including bilingual NOTAM support, NOTAM-to-feature linkage and SNOWTAM and ASHTAM handling.
iNM Wave 2.5 marks an important milestone but development continues in accordance to the iNM Roadmap with the next scheduled deployment on 16.10.2026 adding Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) services and further stabilising the eEAD product suite.
