The Flight Efficiency – the Group Rerouting Tool (GRRT) Guidelines document frames the support of the Network Manager’s (NM’s) Flight Efficiency implementation strategic project provisions to operational stakeholders, focusing on the flight plan originators and improvement of their flight plan with the support of the NM’s automated rerouting tool GRRT. The document is intended to provide information and guidance related to the utilisation of the Group rerouting tool (GRRT) by airspace users.
The NM’s group rerouting tool (GRRT) gives aircraft operators visibility on other possible routing options in the Network and helps them in the selection of shorter and more efficient routes, but also supports the identification of possible inefficiencies in their flight planning while considering the AOs’ selected business criteria.
The purpose of this document is to describe the features of the NM’s system rerouting tool (GRRT) used for flight efficiency, by providing information about:
- the customised GRRT templates subscription;
- the GRRT parameters;
- the access and utilisation of the GRRT results.
The first edition of the document is approved by NMB/39 and is valid from 24/04/2024.
