Our Specification of two parts is focussed on States’ compliance with the requirements stemming from the Commission Regulation (EC) No 2150/2005 (FUA Regulation), namely Art.3 (b), Art.5.3, Art.6.1, Art.6.2, and Art.6.3.
Additional system requirements are identified as Recommendations to support and automate the FUA processes.
Part I of the document covers the baseline system requirements for ASM Support System supporting the ASM processes at local and FAB level. Compliance with these requirements, despite the differences in the systems detailed specifications, shall ensure harmonisation of the systems’ application, the systems’ interoperability and to facilitate development of a standard interface with the corresponding stakeholder systems.
Part 2 of the Specification covers system interface requirements for ASM Support System supporting the ASM processes at local and FAB level. It defines how to exchange the optimised set of ASM data in a standardised manner at local and FAB levels, complementing Part I of the specification. Part 2 contains the service definition of the ASM service.
The technical interface requirements are derived from the operational needs and requirements as specified by Annex 12 of ERNIP Part 3 - ASM Handbook with regard to local ASM Support System interoperability requirements.
The ASM service defined in the Specification is fully compliant with the system-wide information management (SWIM) principles, ensuring that it is future-proof as we move forward towards digital sharing of information in a SWIM environment.
The Specification spurs civil-military coordination through the sharing of ASM information and contributing to efficient use of airspace.
