EUROCONTROL's European Aviation Overview provides a detailed snapshot of the latest network trends.

It uses the latest traffic data to show how States, airports and airlines are performing, with further analysis of key topics, such as delays and fuel prices.

Week 7 (09 February - 15 February 2026)

In Week 7 the European aviation network recorded 26,168 average daily flights, a 3.3% increase on Week 6, with air traffic levels 2.7% higher than in the same period in 2025.

The week-on-week traffic increase was reflected in higher operations at the busiest ten carriers, which increased their capacity by 2.9% - while at State level, the busiest 10 States saw a 4.5% traffic increase.

Arrival and departure punctuality were 75.7% and 71.8%, worse than the equivalent week in 2025 owing partly to adverse weather conditions, which contributed to 83% higher en-route ATFM delays than the previous week.

The daily en-route air traffic flow management (ATFM) delay average was around 13K delay minutes, 18% lower than 2025. Total ATFM delay per flight was 1.1 min/flight (of which 0.5 was en-route, and 0.6 was attributed to airports).

82% of all en-route ATFM delays were attributed to ATC capacity/staffing matters, with weather-related delays the next largest category at a much lower 9%.

The average jet fuel price closed at $2.29/gallon on 13 February 2026, unchanged from two weeks earlier, but up 4.9% vs the beginning of the year.
