Traffic samples representing 3 proportions of datalink-equipped aircraft and 3 levels of traffic load were used. The experiment was conducted on simulations of the civil airspace of Paris ACC, Reims ACC, and Maastricht UAC.The concept was well received. There was a general feeling amongst the participants that datalink was of benefit to the controller. Problems were identified when the proportion of non-equipped aircraft is high. Some general issues about responsibility and task delegation between Planner and Executive were raised.
