Key performance indicators confirm this progress. Air traffic flow and capacity management (ATFCM) delays attributed to CPDLC have dropped sharply, with 57.6 delay hours recorded compared to 195.9 hours in 2024 - despite a 20%+ rise in CPDLC traffic. This improvement is largely driven by a reduction in network outages.
Logon rates have also improved, rising from 52% in 2024 to 59% this year. However, the provider abort (PA) rate - 8.6 per 100 hours - remains stable, showing no significant improvement at the net-work level.
With the system now sufficiently robust, the focus shifts toward achieving high performance. To sustain this momentum, stakeholders are urged to:
- apply correct and consistent logon procedures,
- follow the principles of the Outage Management Charter, and
- make full use of the datalink one-stop shop or contact the EUROCONTROL team for support.
