EUROCONTROL has released an authoritative factsheet on the impact of COVID-19 on aviation in Sweden.
“Sweden has lost around 229,000 flights compared to 2019 and 24 million passengers. Flights to/from/within Sweden are currently 70% down on last year and the number of passengers is 86% down”
The briefing includes information on airports, the major airlines, market segments and traffic flows, including:
- last week Stockholm and Gothenberg flights were both 75% down on last year;
- SAS/KLM flights were 77%/50% down on 2019;
- domestic flights were slightly less affected (66% down) than European flows (-70%).
