EUROCONTROL has released an authoritative factsheet on the impact of COVID-19 on aviation in the Netherlands.
“The Netherlands have lost around 297,000 flights compared to 2019 and 48 million passengers. Flights to/from/within the Netherlands are currently 61% down on last year and the number of passengers is 82% down.”
The briefing includes information on airports, the major airlines, market segments and traffic flows, including:
- Last week Amsterdam Schiphol flights were 63% down on last year;
- KLM/Transavia flights were 57%/80% down on 2019;
- Top non-European flows are with the North Atlantic, Asia Pacific and Middle-East regions.
