The formal consultation enables all states, stakeholders and interested parties to express their formal views on the draft EUROCONTROL Specifications.
Data link common services will optimise the use of existing air-ground and airborne resources by relying on the ground distribution and sharing of air-ground data through system-wide information management (SWIM) services. These two specifications detail requirements applicable to the establishment and operational deployment of such common services by ATM stakeholders regarding the ICAO ATN context management (CM) and automatic dependent surveillance contract (ADS-C) applications, namely:
- Draft EUROCONTROL Specification for Data Link Common Services for the Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN)
- Draft EUROCONTROL Specification for Data Link Ground Distribution SWIM Services
Notably, these Specifications support the implementation of ADS-C common services to fulfil ATM functionality 6 “initial trajectory sharing” of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/116 on the establishment of Common Project One.
The draft Specifications submitted to consultation can be found below. The submission of responses and comments to this consultation is solely supported by the Standards Development Consultation On-line Platform.
