ASM/ATFCM Integration

Concept of Operations

The ASM/ATFCM integration CONOPS for 2029 is built on current European network operations as well as on the strategic direction and objectives defined in the Network Strategy Plan (NSP) for 2020-2029, approved through Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/2167 of 17 December 2019. It also contributes to the achievement of network-related objectives as defined in Common Project One (CP1), as referred to in Commission Implementing Regulation 2021/116.

The ASM/ATFCM integration CONOPS is aimed at providing details on the improvements expected for a more efficient integration of ASM/ATFCM processes, as described in the High-Level Network Operations Framework fo 2025 and 2029.

The expected improvements for 2025 will be addressed in the framework of the Operational Excellence Programme (OEP) WST 02 – Application of A-FUA, while the described improvements for  2029 will be addressed in the framework of the iNM programme.

In particular, this CONOPS constitutes the baseline for iNM developments to provide visibility at conceptual level of the key elements the iNM contractor has to address to achieve the integration of ASM/ATFCM processes, facilitating the drafting of operational/user requirements for iNM.

This CONOPS may also be used by all relevant network actors to drive their planning and investments in order to achieve a harmonised implementation of systems supporting the integration of ASM/ATFCM processes. The document was approved by NMB/39 on 24 April 2024 (after agreements by NETOPS and NDOP).
