EUROCONTROL has released an authoritative factsheet on the impact of COVID-19 on aviation in Norway.
“Norway has lost around 190,000 flights compared to 2019 and 28 million passengers. Flights to/from/within Norway are currently 48% down on last year and the number of passengers is 72% down.”
The briefing includes information on airports, the major airlines, market segments and traffic flows, including:
- Last week Oslo and Bergen flights were 64% and 35% down on last year;
- Widerøe/SAS flights were 18%/58% down on 2019;
- Domestic flights were less affected (24% down) than European flows (-47%).
