New Release of EUROCONTROL ATM Surveillance Tracker and Server (ARTAS) available

EUROCONTROL has recently published an update of its ATM Surveillance Tracker and Server product. After over a year of development and successful trials, ARTAS 9.1.1 introduces numerous community-driven features and addresses over 61 reported issues.

For the past 25 years, EUROCONTROL has been dedicated to addressing the fragmentation of Europe’s surveillance systems. To achieve this, it has developed a distributed, interoperable surveillance tracker and server that optimizes the use of available sensor data. The Central ARTAS Maintenance and Operational Support (CAMOS) team’s user-focused approach has fostered a strong community, guiding the direction of its efforts and developments.

In response to the user community feedback and CAMOS-selected priorities, a new update was released in September, to enhance the processing and validation of Downlink Aircraft Parameters (DAPs) and to improve the configuration of Source-Specific Multicast traffic. Also the system supervision was updated, introducing the support for SNMPv3 and refurbishing its Management Information Base (MIB).
