EUROCONTROL has recently published a new Release of its ATM Surveillance Tracker and Server (ARTAS). After more than one year of development and successful trials, the version 9.1.0 brings many new community-sourced features and addresses over 51 issues reported.

Over the last 25 years, EUROCONTROL has been committed to tackling the fragmentation of the European surveillance systems and has developed a distributed and interoperable surveillance tracker and server solution to ensure an optimal use of available sensor data. Thanks to the dedicated user-centric approach of the Central ARTAS Maintenance and Operational Support (CAMOS) team, we have seen the growth of a dedicated community that have helped us direct our efforts and developments.

Last April, a new Release was published to address the requests raised by our user community and other topics selected by CAMOS. As a result, the support for ADS-B was improved, the support for ASTERIX CAT025 introduced and the Tracking Tuning Areas configuration refined. Moreover, the operating system was updated to Oracle Linux 8.6 and the installation procedure was modernised. Finally, some functionalities were removed in order to improve the product’s maintainability.
