IWD2023: One step closer to 25% more women at EUROCONTROL by 2025

This covers

Since signing up to IATA's 25by2025 programme in 2022, EUROCONTROL has intensified its efforts to attract more women to aviation and improve our gender balance.

Our strong commitment to improving diversity, equity and inclusion, and aiming to move towards having 25% more women in our organisation by 2025 than there were in 2022, is starting to deliver results.

We have put in place balanced selection boards, and launched significant outreach programmes to schools, universities and university graduates as well as recruitment strategies aimed at improving the attractiveness of our organisation to a diverse range of candidates.

In 2022 we received 10% more female applicants than in 2021, resulting in what was for us our best-ever male-female annual recruitment ratio of 67:33.

That has helped us make a significant shift: women now make up, for the very first time in our history, 30% of our staff.
