It provides a review and comparison of ATM cost-effectiveness for 38 Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) in Europe. Given the extraordinary drop in traffic in 2020, all the ACE indicators have been massively impacted. This report therefore puts a special emphasis on the observed changes resulting from the traffic decrease and the subsequent fall in revenues, including an examination of the mitigation measures implemented by ANSPs and the use of new financial indicators.
EUROCONTROL's Performance Review Commission issues its latest ATM Cost-Effectiveness Benchmarking Report

Brussels, Belgium – The EUROCONTROL's Performance Review Commission (PRC) has published its twentieth ATM Cost-Effectiveness (ACE) Benchmarking Report.
“I am very proud of this new ACE benchmarking report, which shows how ANSPs have reacted to this unprecedented crisis in terms of operating costs, staff numbers, capital expenditures and level of debt. The introduction of new financial indicators, complementing a well-established analytical framework, will remain an important part of future ACE reports in order to monitor the liquidity challenges ANSPs are facing while traffic is recovering."
Mr de Jong also encouraged all interested stakeholders to use the information publicly available in the new ACE website, which offers direct access to all ACE reports, individual ANSP factsheets and an interactive dashboard allowing users to customise presentations based on ACE data.
