EASA certifies EUROCONTROL’s Information Security Management Course

EUROCONTROL’s course on “Compliance with Part-IS Requirements for Information Security Management Systems (LEX-ISMS)” has been officially certified by EASA, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, and represents an important step forward for making European aviation stronger and more resilient in the domain of information and cybersecurity.

This certification comes at a time of growing digitalisation, increasingly interconnected systems and evolving cyberthreats, when aviation organisations and competent authorities must reinforce their information security capabilities and prepare for the new regulatory framework established by Commission Implementing Regulation 2023/203 and Delegated Regulation 2022/1645

The course provides a clear, structured and practical understanding of these new regulations, which aim to strengthen the cyber-resilience of the aviation ecosystem. It guides participants through the requirements for identifying, assessing and managing information security risks that could impact aviation safety, helping professionals implement effective and compliant processes.

By completing the course, aviation experts will be better equipped to support a more secure, resilient and future-ready aviation environment.

The new course marks a significant milestone for EUROCONTROL, and stands as a strong recognition of the work done by our experts in developing the training and supporting the certification process.

“Strengthening information and cybersecurity across the aviation network is a key pillar of EUROCONTROL’s Trajectory 2030 strategy. This certification demonstrates our commitment to supporting a safer, more resilient and future-ready aviation system, and reflects our close cooperation with EASA, not only on this certification, but also on developing more specific ATM/ANS training”
