Secondments are opportunities for national officials to gain experience working in EUROCONTROL, delivering mutual benefits for the secondee, the seconding organisation and the Agency. National officials can develop new skills and understanding of how the Agency works “from the inside”. The Agency can benefit from the secondee’s assistance on a particular project, where the required skills for a time-limited task are not readily available from within the Agency. For the seconding organisation it also provides an opportunity for capacity-building and developing of the skills of their employees.

How to apply
All applications must be submitted through the online application form included in each secondment opportunity.
Only applications submitted for advertised secondment opportunities within the specified time window will be considered. Spontaneous applications will not be processed.
Please note that only applications from National Officials representing Home Organisations in a EUROCONTROL or ECAC Member State will be accepted.
All applications must be accompanied by a letter of support from the Director General (or equivalent) of their home organisation. If this is not the Director-General for Civil Aviation (DGCA), then the DGCA must be included in copy of the letter. Failure to do so will result in the application being rejected.
