Flight Dispatcher Days 2025

Flight Dispatcher Days 2025

Flight Dispatcher Days 2025 is a premier event designed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among flight dispatchers and flight planners from Aircraft Operators (AOs) and our Network Manager (NM) experts. This gathering serves as a platform for aviation professionals to engage with NM tools and practices, learn from experts and explore new ways to boost operational efficiency.

This event is supported by Airlines for Europe (A4E), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the European Regions Airline Association (ERA), the International Federation of Airlines Dispatchers Associations (IFALDA), and the European Federation of Airlines Dispatchers Association (EUFALDA).

Event highlights:

Flight Dispatcher Days 2025 took place in two segments:

Flight Dispatcher Days: 18-19 March 2025

A two-day, in-person event focused on Network Manager tools and Aircraft Operator demonstrations. This event brought together flight dispatchers to discuss key topics such as achieving operational efficiency, handling rejections, reducing delays, advanced rerouting strategies, and enhancing communication with the Network Manager Operations Centre (NMOC). The event featured:

  • Day 1 (18 March): A deep dive into NM tools and how they can be applied to improve operational efficiency
  • Day 2 (19 March): A showcase of how Aircraft Operators are achieving excellence through practical demonstrations and discussions.

FF-ICE Day: 20 March 2025

FF-ICE is an ICAO concept, meaning Flight & Flow Information for a Collaborative Environment, and is mandated to replace ICAO Flight Plan 2012 for IFR flights in the EU, Norway and Switzerland, by the end of 2025. This one-day hybrid event focused on the implementation of FF-ICE, with particular attention to the challenges and solutions associated with the new flight plan format. It was aimed at flight dispatchers as well as other operational and technical personnel from AOs. Participants had the chance to engage in practical demonstrations and explore how Aircraft Operators are adapting to the new standards.

Exhibition

An exhibition run in parallel to the event, showcasing the latest NM tools and projects. This was a great opportunity to see firsthand the practical applications of these technologies.
