Improving our gender diversity has been for many years one of our core goals.
In 2019 just 29% EUROCONTROL staff were women. However, since then, the Agency has managed to recruit above that level, with 2023's 39% female intake the highest ever. This outcome – which directly reflects the way we position the Agency through social media, the web and direct HR strategic initiatives like our active involvement in IATA's "25by2025" initiative, participation in events like Girls in Aviation and Women in Tech to increase outreach to women in aviation, and more – has resulted in a progressive global shift, from 71:29 to now stand at a historic 69:31 split.
