European Network of U-Space Demonstrators - 5th Workshop

The fifth workshop of the European Network of U-Space Demonstrators, led by the European Commission and supported by EUROCONTROL, EASA and SJU, will be kindly hosted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation from Ministry of Transportation, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, Spain.


The theme of this workshop will be to identify key priorities for u-space implementation.

In this workshop we will learn about the U-space opinion, SESAR research and development results and discuss key priorities to implement U-space.

The objectives of the Network, defined in the Terms of Reference, are to:

  • de-risk implementations, by reducing "first-time" errors;
  • accelerate the lead-time to market for novel services and solutions;
  • provide a platform to regulators and other public authorities to jointly acquire the capabilities and develop the due processes and guidance that are pivotal for such implementations to come into being;
  • reduce red tape by streamlining regulatory and administrative hurdles across borders.
