EUROCONTROL Stakeholder Forum on the aeronautical spectrum

Is aviation making the best use of this scarce resource in light of recent 5G impacts?
Stakeholder forum

This technical webinar in our Stakeholder Forum series will explore the following big question:

Aeronautical spectrum: Is aviation making the best use of this scarce resource in light of recent 5G impacts?

Radio spectrum is a vital resource to aviation as all its communication, navigation and surveillance systems rely on aviation having a dedicated allocation of radio spectrum. But, it is also a scarce resource and one in which aviation competes for access with other actors, in particular the mobile phone industries.

In this webinar, top experts from the aerospace, telecom and spectrum world will help us build a clearer picture of the ongoing debate around the potential spectrum interference of 5G mobile telephony with signals which are vital to the safe operation of aircraft. Together, they will highlight what can be done to make sure that aviation’s radio spectrum is used efficiently as we move forward within an ever-more crowded spectrum environment.
