Session 3: Taking advantage of Datalink

With traffic growth and operational pressures looming, Summer 2025 will stress again the resilience of Europe’s aviation infrastructure. This session will delve into how datalink continues to be a game-changer for operational efficiency. Attendees will explore recent implementation stories, learn about collaborative efforts to resolve challenges such as cross-border harmonisation, and uncover strategies to enhance resilience and performance. This session will showcase the European datalink Summer 2025 preparation plan, provide insights from Airlines, ANSPs, CSPs, and EUROCONTROL NM and their contribution to shape a robust datalink network for Summer 2025 and beyond.

Session 4: The Ballet in the Sky - the importance of discipline with Flight Plans and prioritising First Rotation

Of the 5 top priorities for the Network for Summer 2025, this session will delve into the two which arguably can make the greatest difference in ensuring that capacity is not wasted and that rotational delays are kept to a minimum. We have a guest speaker to present the subject in a rounded context, then progress on to frame the issue ahead with the S24 outcomes and the proposals from NM to help in these critical priorities. We will then enter a discussion with a panel of experts, and your inputs as the audience, on what tangible benefits can be achieved with any proposals from you on what we can do differently as a Network in these areas. Think Network!

Session 5: Ensuring infrastructure resilience

There has been an increase in jamming and/or spoofing of GNSS in 2024 as also demonstrated through the NM CNS Monitoring activities. This GNSS interference is increasing in the severity of its impact, as well as an overall growth of intensity and sophistication of these events. To address the identified issues, States, Operational Stakeholders and the Industry should implement recommended mitigating measures contained in EASA SIB No. 2022-02R3. This session will provide more details on this network wide issue and address the activities that Network Manager, in its role as CNS PM, is doing to help stakeholders to ensure greater resilience of their CNS infrastructure and efficient & safe operations.
