We invite you to join this first stakeholders workshop to learn more about the CORUS-XUAM project. Organised by the CORUS-XUAM consortium with the help of EUROCONTROL, the event will bring the relevant U-space/Urban Air Mobility (UAM) experts together to discuss the various operational, performance and safety requirements to addresses the safe, secure and efficient integration of UAM and drone operations into the European airspace.

Objectives of the event

The CORUS-XUAM team aims to set the scene and share with the general audience the project’s plans on how to make drone services feasible, safe and acceptable in busy populated areas, leading on the big question: How can urban air mobility be realised in the near future?

Supporting talks will put the spotlight on particular issues and perspectives from the industry, social benefits, public acceptance and perception. The panel discussions will be supported by exposition of ongoing research topics linked to the CORUS-XUAM project.

Background

Urban air mobility seems futuristic as it is so desirable yet always unattainable. However, the idea of a world where cars fly may not be so implausible. The CORUS-XUAM project looks at the practicalities of urban air mobility from all angles.

CORUS-XUAM aims to show how U-space, the European UTM system, can be extended to support Urban Air Mobility (UAM) flight operations. Operational procedures and requirements are being developed, with safety, efficiency and social acceptability taken into account.
