Civil-Military Aviation Summit
to 16:30 on 12 June 2025
EUROCONTROL is organising, in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a high-level Civil-Military Aviation Summit, scheduled to take place at our Brussels headquarters on 12 June 2025, following an ice-breaker evening event on 11 June.
The Summit will bring together top civil and military leaders from the global aviation community to share insights and discuss how civil-military cooperation should further evolve to meet future airspace and space security challenges.
Our speakers will explore the importance of integrating military and civil operations to be able to secure the safety, security and efficiency of aviation, and successfully deal with the new threats resulting from a shifting security environment in Europe.
Ensuring the security and defence of European airspace requires robust cooperation among States, particularly in the face of evolving military and geopolitical challenges, and inter-State collaboration plays a key role in securing European airspace.
Effective civil-military cooperation is also paramount in the space domain. We will examine the challenges and opportunities offered by space operations, where coordinated efforts are needed to protect critical infrastructures and ensure the sustainability of space activities.
The summit will provide a unique opportunity to share knowledge, discuss best practices and develop actionable strategies for future civil-military operations in European aviation.
