FLair is a powerful analytics dashboard designed to improve flight efficiency and predictability across the European aviation network

By visualising adherence to Requested Flight Levels (RFLs), FLair provides actionable insights for airspace users and ANSPs alike. Whether you're an airline looking to optimise flight planning and reduce fuel burn, or an ANSP aiming to monitor adherence and enhance traffic flow through your airspace, FLair delivers the data you need to support performance improvement, collaborative decision-making, and more sustainable operations. The tool also enables monitoring of the new RP4 vertical flight efficiency metric, helping stakeholders track and improve this monitoring PI (performance indicator).

Network performance

The FLair dashboard is a key tool for the Network Manager in enhancing network predictability and flight efficiency. It enables targeted analysis of flight planning and execution, helping to identify operational inefficiencies, areas of non-adherence and opportunities for improvement. By supporting data-driven decision-making, FLair contributes directly to improving the overall performance of the European aviation network.

Users are provided detailed network views with insights into flight adherence to RFL in terms of traffic and distance. Users can identify inefficiencies and patterns of non-adherence by aircraft operator, airspace and city-pairs.

This enables more informed decision-making to optimise flight planning, improve route efficiency and enhance overall operational predictability and environmental performance.

Benchmarking flight level adherence and trajectory efficiency across the network to support performance improvement and informed decision-making.

Operator view

For aircraft operators, the FLair dashboard provides valuable insights into flight planning accuracy, route efficiency and adherence to requested flight levels. By identifying patterns of non-adherence and operational inefficiencies, the visualised performance enables operators to benchmark themselves against peers, gaining a clear understanding of how their flight level adherence and route efficiency compare. This comparison highlights strengths and areas for improvement, supporting more informed decisions in flight planning and operational strategies, ultimately enhancing environmental performance.

The FLair dashboard provides aircraft operators with clear insights into how consistently their flights maintain the RFL, highlighting both adherence rates and deviations based on traffic and distance. Interactive hover features enable users to quickly compare the RFL with the Actual Flight Level (AFL) for individual flights, making it easy to identify exactly where non-adherence occurred along each flight trajectory.

Airspace view

For ANSPs, the FLair dashboard provides valuable insights into how flights adhere to their RFL as they pass through specific ACCs and TMAs. By identifying patterns of non-adherence and operational inefficiencies within their controlled airspace, ANSPs can better understand the impact on network performance. FLair supports visual performance benchmarking to optimise traffic flows, enhance predictability, and support more efficient and environmentally sustainable operations.

ANSPs gain enhanced situational awareness with clear visibility into flight adherence with RFL across specific ACCs and TMAs. The flight level visualised trajectory data helps optimise vertical flight profiles, improve traffic flow in complex or congested sectors, and supports informed discussions with airspace users and the Network Manager to investigate deviations and drive performance improvements.

The FLair dashboard supports data-driven decision-making and strengthens collaboration with the Network Manager to improve flight efficiency and predictability across the European network. It also contributes to monitoring and enhancing compliance with the new RP4 flight efficiency indicator, promoting transparency, operational performance, and continuous improvement in flight level adherence and trajectory management.
