Bhev Chandrasena appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for the Directorate Central Route Charges Office and Finance

EUROCONTROL is delighted to announce the appointment of Bhevan Chandrasena as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for the Central Route Charges Office and Finance Directorate.

Bhev is a seasoned leader with 25+ years of finance and commercial experience in blue-chip public and private international multinationals. He brings to EUROCONTROL a wealth of finance experience spanning all disciplines and across a range of business types and industries.

Bhev joins EUROCONTROL from Baxter International, a global medical devices manufacturer. Most recently, he was responsible for delivering strategic commercial projects in EMEA. Prior to that he led finance operations for the company’s France & Benelux cluster. Before that, Bhev was CFO and then General Manager of Hyla Mobile EMEA where he led a business turnaround generating both shareholder and stakeholder value.

He has also held a variety of senior finance leadership roles at Owens Corning (manufacturing) and at Ingram Micro (IT distribution) – both Fortune 250 companies. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Grant Thornton,Gatwick, and worked post-qualification at PwC.

Bhev is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (England & Wales) and a Corporate Treasurer (AMCT). He has an Executive MBA (with Honours) from IMD, Lausanne. In addition, he has a BA (Hons.) from Sheffield University and an MA from DeMontfort University, Leicester.

His appointment strengthens the Agency’s leadership team, with Bhev bringing to the Agency Board a proven track record of excellence in delivering results, and extensive experience both in driving strategic departments and managing significant monetary positions.
