TMA2010+ Project |
Developing Trajectory Management Applications and system support requirements for SESAR.
TMA airspace is becoming increasingly busy and progressively more complex, and although some initiatives such as P-RNAV and CDAs are bringing benefits today, more is needed.
The introduction of an advanced form of arrival management, integrating airspace design, aircraft capability, CDAs and new ground - system support tools could provide this missing element.
Although engaged in a wide range of activities in relation to TMA operational improvements, the main focus for the TMA2010+ Project is the development of the requirements and specifications for these new arrival management system support tools.
This development is carried out in simulation activities, done in conjunction with several external project stakeholders, including ANSPs and industry [ground and avionics] since they will be the builders of these new systems. This is an essential part of SESAR developments for trajectory and queue management.
