EUROCONTROL Projects and SESAR Projects

In 2006 EUROCONTROL launched the I-AM-SAFE project. I-AM-SAFE stands for IAPA – ASARP Methodology for Safety net Assessment – Feasibility Evaluation. IAPA and ASARP are previous ACAS safety studies. This project evaluated the applicability and usefulness of the methodology used in the ACAS field in the prospect of establishing quantified performance requirements for STCA and demonstrated that this is feasible.

In 2007 the PASS (Performance and safety Aspects of STCA, full Study) project was launched. In 2009 the project became an early SESAR project and in 2010 PASS was completed and the results are now being used inside the related SESAR projects.
