The Network Manager's User Forum is the yearly major Air Traffic Management (ATM) event for aviation's operational community.
“Your annual operational networking event” addresses key challenges facing the European ATM network and brings operational players together on a variety of topics.
Participants will learn about the vision behind the dynamic airspace concept, see what progress has been made in implementation and hear about the benefits that it brings.
In addition to this, its inherent complexities will be explained and practical examples of similar implementations (FUA & CDR categories, FRA, RAD & Scenarios) will be given as well.
Building on last year’s introduction of airports into the Network, this year the focus will be on current airport harmonisation requirements.
This will be followed by an overview of ongoing developments, the expected future evolution and, in conclusion, a group discussion.
Firstly, ATCOs and Airspace Users will share their perspectives on how weather affects their operations and evaluate how well the Network is equipped to deal with it.
The second part will look at how ATFM could serve as a weather management tool and best practices will be shared. A group discussion on possible ways forward will follow.
Participants with the relevant experience can actively contribute to any of those topics.
Send your suggestions to the Network Manager User Forum Team before 15 December 2017!
