Don’t fall for sensory illusions
Certain weather conditions or a lack of visibility may play a bad joke on pilots’ perception of factors such as elevation, position and thrust. Sensory illusions can lead to a conflict between what the pilot feels the aircraft is doing when making a manoeuvre and the machine’s real-world behaviour.
Pilots and co-pilots need to know that their body’s senses can deceive them. As a helpful reminder, we have covered the topic of sensory illusions in our latest SKYclip video. Watch it to learn more!
