SWIM Security Workshop
A SWIM (System Wide Information Management) Security Workshop was held at EUROCONTROL HQ on 25th June 2010 to identify security requirements to enable military coordination and civil-military interoperability for information sharing in SWIM environment. Very interesting discussions from the wide range of participants led to the major conclusion that the key issue is to put in place a Federated SWIM security governance based on State authorities (CAA, National AVSEC Authority, INFOSEC Authority and the Military) in order to create a mutual trust environment. The development of a SWIM Security Framework Concept and further discussions with the military and other stakeholders are the main points for the way ahead

HMAI Project
HMAI Scramble N°2 introduces the workflows of the HMAI project in more detail. What is meant with harmonisation of military aeronautical information in Europe? What is the involvement of the HMAI Task Force in this endeavour? How is the migration of military organisations to the EAD prepared and supported?

Scramble N°2 provides some answers to these questions in setting out the basis for the project.

Civil-Military Cooperation and Coordination in European ATM

The top priorities of the military are defence and security. Military flying is not based on commercial interests. The security provided by military aviation makes it possible for civil aviation to flourish. The military is therefore an equal partner in aviation matters.
  Why we need civil-military co-operation and co-ordination?
How is this civil-military co-operation institutionalised in EUROCONTROL?
