CASCADE, the new EUROCONTROL Programme to put in place co-operative air traffic services enabled by air/air and air/ground data links has been launched.

Data Link for Co-operative ATS |
The Programme "Co-operative Air Traffic Services through Surveillance and Communication Applications Deployed in ECAC (CASCADE)" is the result of the rationalisation of the activities of two previous programmes: Automatic Dependant Surveillance (ADS) and Air/Ground Co-operative ATS (AGC).
CASCADE's objective is to deliver co-operative air traffic services via the provision of new information to pilots, controllers and automation systems. CASCADE will provide enhanced situational awareness to controllers and pilots, introduce advanced automation and ensure the redistribution of air traffic services tasks among the various players involved.
