INTEGRA Dissemination at NLR

Following the completion and evaluation of these metrics using a real-time simulation at NLR in the Netherlands two demonstration days were held to show the results of the evaluation and give a practical demonstration of the deployment of the metrics and their associated methodology on a real-time simulation.
The EUROCONTROL INTEGRA programme has developed a set of metrics to provide a quantified assessment of proposed automated ATM tools and associated procedures within an ATM System in terms of Capacity, Safety and Efficiency.

One of the primary aims of INTEGRA was to provide metrics that can be deployed on simulations in EUROCONTROL and other establishments to give a common framework for the measurements allowing direct comparison of the validation results. Key features of the metrics to meet this aim are that they are independent of the simulation and all rely on non-subjective measures. These attributes were demonstrated during the day.
