ATFCM Contingency - What will the NM do if its system fails?

In the event of the system failure a contingency procedure will be started and instructions will be issued by the NM.
To permit resumption of slot allocation following recovery, AOs should continue to send flight plans and flight plan update messages to IFPS (Integrated Initial Flight Plan Processing System) throughout the whole period of operation of the contingency plan.
Depending on the level of severity of the failure, AOs may expect significantly higher delays than normal.

Can I duplicate my applications on multiple PCs, what are the rules?

You may not make copies of such software components or install them on other terminals - see also our Agreements and Policies page

Can IFPUV provide route proposals?

Yes. For secure-access Users, a Propose Routes tool is available to find an IFPS compliant route. The tool delivers the best possible IFPS compliant routes taking into consideration some user defined constraints (e.g. via a point or airspace, avoiding a point or airspace).
To request secure-access to NOP portal or CIAO, in order to access the proposed routes and what-if functionalities, submit a NM Service Request 

Please note that the routes that are proposed by the Propose Routes are not to be considered as Network Operations recommended routes. The responsibility to ensure operational acceptance of the proposed routes before filing to IFPS is with the flight plan originator.

Change status - Can I send an REA (Ready Message (sent only by ATC)?

No. Only ATC (TWR or FMP) can send an REA.

Change status - How do I change status of my flight?

By sending :

  • αn SWM (SIP Slot Improvement Proposal) Wanted Message), if you were in RFI (Ready/Request For (direct) Improvement ) status
  • or αn RFI, if you were in SWM status
Change status - What are my options?

Default status for AOs is RFI (Ready/Request For (direct) Improvement), i.e. if an improvement is available you would receive it via an SRM (Slot Revision Message).
Another status is SWM (SIP Slot Improvement Proposal) Wanted Message) , where improvements are proposed by an SIP.
Alternatively, you may request the ATC at the departure aerodrome to change your status by sending an REA (Ready Message (sent only by ATC).

FPL updates - How do I revise my FPL?

Send a DLA/CHG.

FPL updates - When do I file an FPL?

Not later than 3 hours before EOBT. You will get either:
ACK (FPL accepted).
MAN (errors in FPL; after manual processing you will get either ACK or REJ) REJ (FPL rejected).
REJ (FPL rejected).

FPL updates - When do I notify a delay?

Send a DLA/CHG for any change of EOBT (Estimated Off Block Time) greater than 15 minutes. However, do not update EOBT as a result of delay given by CTOT (Calculated Take-Off Time).

How can I apply for NM Operational Services and Products and how much does this cost?

If you are eligible for the NM Operational Services and Products type you require, additional services can be requested via this form

For your information, each location is entitled to two (2) free NOP Portal or CHMI (including NOP Portal) tokens/certificates. Additional tokens/certificates are subject to a fee of 200 EUR per token/certificate valid for a period of five (5) years.  Upgrade of your existing token/certificate to NOP Portal or CHMI is free of charge.

Access to the NMIR is subject to a fee of 500 EUR per application (valid for a period of five (5) years).

How can I benefit from Flight Efficiency initiatives?

The IFPS staff carry out a network impact assessment to help find the best opportunities, via a screening of the complete IFPS valid flight plan database. They assess these opportunities and if they are found acceptable from an operational point of view, they submit them to the airline concerned by re-routing proposal message (RRP), identifiable via the comment line: purpose if flight efficiency.

Cost criteria to compute the route can be tailor-made for each airline.

How can I find FPL history or statistics (on flight plans)?

You can find this information in the NOP and in the CHMI.
If you are an operational user, for further information, please use the NM Interactive Reporting tool.
For other users, aggregate statistics on flight plans are available through the monthly Network Operations Report or through the statistics dashboard.
 

How can I generate reports on archived data?

The NMIR is a web interface allowing reports to be created from NM archived data. These reports can be used to derive performance and quality indicators, to monitor trends, create statistics and flight lists relevant to the individual user. Reports can be generated instantly at any time with the possibility to compare archived data.

The NMIR Service must be requested via this form. It costs 500 EUR per token which covers a period of 5 years.

How can I get assistance for the errors raised on my IFPUV-validated FPL?

The IFPUV is an automated system. Unlike the IFPS operational system, there is no manual processing of FPLs validated on IFPUV.  Information relating to the errors being raised can be found in the IFPS Users Manual and the Annex to the IFPS Users Manual (Generated Errors).   Updated or temporary procedures are also published on the Flight Planning section of the Network Operations Portal (NOP) under ‘Flight Planning Documentation’

Depending on the error raised, you should also consult the following information available via the Network Operations Portal (NOP):

  • RAD Document
  • AUP/UUP
  • AIM
  • Network Headline News
  • Calendar of Events

There may be cases where a FPL is rejected by the IFPUV, but would be accepted by IFPS with manual intervention by IFPS Operators.

How do I access IFPUV?

Flight plan originators wishing to validate FPLs with the IFPUV, prior to their submission to the operational IFPS, may submit them:

  • via the NOP Portal (accessible via the NM Public website), and then selecting Flight Planning portlet in the Tactical or PreTactical phases
  • to the AFTN address EUCHZMFV or SITA address BRUEY7X
  • via B2B. Information is available in the Network Management B2B Services Leaflet contained in the online library
How do I access the NOP Portal?
  1. Open your Web browser and surf to the NM Homepage
  2. NOP public portal is accessible through the Quicklinks area at the right-hand side of the screen
  3. For accessing the restricted NOP Portal; visit the Network operations page through the central button
  4. Links to Protected Applications - NOP, NMIR or CCMS Web - are available at the right-hand side of the screen
