EUROCONTROL ETS Support Facility – Survey |

EUROCONTROL is investigating the establishment of a support facility in order to help the aviation sector in complying with the European Union’s Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) requirements on Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV), for the potential benefit of all involved stakeholders.

This “ETS Support Facility” would provide information to ETS aviation stakeholders by making optimum usage of air traffic management data, aircraft emissions models, and information technology/internet infrastructure already available to EUROCONTROL.
The proposed ETS support facility comprises of a set of tools accessible to authorised users through a secure internet portal, using datasets which are updated and centralised in EUROCONTROL. These tools will offer a number of functions to Aircraft Operators, Small Emitters and Competent Authorities, and should provide significant assistance to them in satisfying ETS monitoring, reporting and verification requirements. Confidentiality of information will, of course, be assured.
EUROCONTROL, as a public service organisation, would like to understand the potential added value that its ETS support facility could deliver to users. We would, therefore, be greatly appreciative if you were to take a few minutes of your time to answer a short set of questions. We have split this survey into two sections, for aircraft operators/small emitters and Competent Authorities respectively.

We expect the survey results to be available early November, when we will publish the findings on our website.
