ENPRM/12-001: FORMAL CONSULTATION ON DRAFT EUROCONTROL SPECIFICATION: |
Comments period from 2 February 2012 to 27 April 2012 inclusive |
The introduction of Commission Regulation (EU) 73/2010 by the European Union (EU) as part of the Single European Sky (SES) initiative, aims to improve the quality of aeronautical data/information made available by States, in order to support both current and future navigation.
To address this need, Regulation 73/2010 has introduced some high-level performance requirements on the processes to be applied to aeronautical data/information, including the origination, handling and publication phases. Through this approach, the integrity of aeronautical data/information is assured by demonstrating that the processes have been properly applied.
This EUROCONTROL Draft Specification addresses the Origination of Aeronautical Data through the definition of the detailed requirements, recommendations and explanatory materials. It is designed to replace the current EUROCONTROL Survey Standard, and to provide a Means of Compliance (MoC) to relevant parts of Commission Regulation (EU) 73/2010. The Draft Specification is based on pre-existing material, updated to reflect current technologies and operational concepts.
This Draft Specification is presented for formal consultation from 2 Feburary 2012 to 27 April 2012. All responses will be compiled, reviewed and taken into account in the preparation of the revised draft specification document. The outcome of this consultation will be presented during a workshop that will be held prior to the summer break.
The documentation is available to all interested parties and comments are welcome on its detailed provisions. Instructions for the provision of comments are included in the Consultation Response Sheet.
