The purpose of the RESET project is to identify the reductions in separation standards that could be realised to meet and/or contribute towards enabling a safe, factor-of-3 increase in traffic over Europe.
Additionally, a case study will be constructed on the regulatory basis for time-based separations for approach operations, an emerging procedure aiming at maintaining airport arrival capacity in strong head-wind conditions.
