The EUROCONTROL Experimental Centre (EEC) is a participant in the ERASMUS project, which is a component of the European Commission's 6th Framework programme.
ERASMUS is shorthand for "En-Route Air Traffic Soft Management Ultimate System".

The main purpose of the ERASMUS project is to develop and assess an ERASMUS filter that will be able to assess the complexity of air traffic by detecting the doubtful aircraft pairs and to apply or propose speed regulation when needed.
