CARE-INO II (2004-2006) projects

The Innovative Research Advisory Board (IRAB) selected 6 projects from the 50 projects that were submitted for possible funding from 2004 onwards: a presentation on the selection was given at the 3rd Innovative Research Workshop.
2 projects ran for the full three-year-long cycle:
  HTML ANIMS Aimed to improve the efficiency and safety of ATM users interfaces with visual animation and sound.
  HTML Airport of the Future The central link of inter-modal transport.
1 project ran for two of the three years:
  HTML SCOPE Safety of Controller Pilot dialogue.
3 projects were stopped after one year:
  HTML Quantum Cryptography Evaluated air-ground telecommunication security and its enhancement using quantum cryptography technology.
  HTML Visu Airport Explored the vision of airport working environment.
  HTML Neural Network Neural-network-based recognition and diagnosis of safety critical events.
