CARE-INO I (2001-2003) Projects

The Innovative Research Advisory Board (IRAB) selected 9 projects from the 36 projects that were submitted in the context of the first CARE-INO call for ideas.
4 projects ran for the full three-year-long cycle:
  HTML Innovative Route Charging Schemes Analysed air transportation demand and ATC service provision characteristics and studied the impact of innovative incentive regulation techniques in different ATC unit operational scenarios
  HTML Art, Design, and Technology Used principles from the world of art, design, and technology to design a future ATM environment.
  HTML Uncertainty Management Studied how to present uncertainty in ATM-related information to air traffic controllers and pilots.
  HTML Cognitive Streaming Investigated if the cognitive streaming model can explain and predict the impact of irrelevant sound on pilot and air traffic controller performance.
The other 5 were stopped after one year:
