Over the last 50 years, EUROCONTROL has compiled a vital European repository of air traffic management (ATM) expertise.
It has been leading and underpinning the latest technological improvements in ambitious projects and programmes. Together with a growing number of stakeholders, EUROCONTROL is working to deliver an integrated air traffic management (ATM) system for Europe - one in which each aircraft can fly the safest, shortest route in the most fuel-efficient way through the continent’s busy skies.
As Europe embarks on the most radical transformation of ATM services in its history with the Single European Sky initiative, EUROCONTROL is set to play a central role in moving Europe from a national, fragmented ATM system to a completely integrated and centrally coordinated one. EUROCONTROL and partners will continue to deliver new levels of ATM performance, for the twenty-first century and beyond.
You will find below an overview of the projects and technologies which have, over the years, allowed the European ATM network to meet the changing needs of air transport.
