Working hours
Staff at EUROCONTROL usually work 37h30 per five-day week. However, special arrangements are necessary to cover specific operational work requirements.
To assist staff in balancing their professional and personal lives, EUROCONTROL also offers flexible working conditions, teleworking and the possibility of working on a part-time basis.
Annual leave
EUROCONTROL staff are entitled to:
- two days of leave per complete month of service, resulting in a maximum of 24 days in a complete calendar year. In the year in which an official enters or leaves the service, he/she is entitled to: two days leave for a complete month of service or for an incomplete month consisting of more than 15 days worked, and to one day for an incomplete month consisting of 15 days or less worked;
- additional days based on age, grade and years of service;
- official Agency holidays each year (or extra compensation days to be added to the annual leave to ensure equal treatment), bringing each up to a maximum of 17 days;
- extra travel days for expatriates to return to their place of origin, based on distance.
