European Operational Concept Validation Methodology (E-OCVM)
The aim of this transversal workpackage is to build a comprehensive and integrated validation and verification infrastructure to fulfill the overall validation needs for the SESAR ATM system.
The current European validation infrastructure comprises a wide variety of tools: real time simulators, live trial platforms, rapid prototyping platforms, fast time simulation tools, industrial test beds, pre-/post-processors, analytical tools and various other techniques and methodologies.
EUROCONTROL is helping to define the coherent capabilities on which the SESAR concept can be developed in line with E-OCVM processes.
E-OCVM (European Operational Concept Validation Methodology) is a framework for carrying out R&D rather than a strict set of rules.
