Training Institute (IANS)

The Institute of Air Navigation Services (IANS) is EUROCONTROL’s training centre located in Luxembourg.

We develop and deliver quality air traffic management (ATM) training in Europe for air navigation service providers, civil and military state authorities of EUROCONTROL Member States and EUROCONTROL staff. IANS is recognised as a centre of excellence for providing advanced air traffic management (ATM) training, comprising both classroom and e-learning courses, as well as training standards, tools and programmes.

Our training institute provides training to staff members from air navigation service providers (ANSPs), national supervisory authorities, regulators, international organisations, EUROCONTROL and private companies.

We ensure that the aviation community is aware of, and understands how to implement and use, the ATM improvements and regulations. In doing so, our activities contribute to the deployment of ATM improvements required by the Single European Sky, the SESAR Programme, and our network management functions.

Our Training Institute offers a wide range of courses through various delivery methods: traditional classroom courses, workshops, e-learning, partnerships and license agreements.
