EUROCONTROL is committed to building, together with its partners, a Single European Sky that will deliver the air traffic management (ATM) performance required for the 21st century and beyond. Some 2200 staff members work for EUROCONTROL, spread over four European countries.
EUROCONTROL's Headquarters are in Brussels. A four-state air traffic control centre is based in Maastricht , our experimental centre in Brétigny-sur-Orge (France) and our training institute for air traffic management (ATM) professionals is in Luxembourg.

Experimental Centre
The EUROCONTROL Experimental Centre (EEC), located in Brétigny-sur-Orge, France, carries out R&D activities and innovative studies providing high quality data and results, to support the improvement of the performance of European ATM. It carries out operational research and testing of air traffic control (ATC) methods, operational demonstrations of the validity of ATC systems, while working on the evaluation of ATC systems equipment. Training Institute
The Institute of Air Navigation Services (IANS) is EUROCONTROL’s training centre, located in Luxembourg. It develops and delivers quality air traffic management (ATM) training in Europe for air navigation service providers, civil and military state authorities of EUROCONTROL Member States and EUROCONTROL staff. Maastricht UAC
The Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre provides cross-border air navigation services in the upper airspace of Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and north-west Germany. It is a perfect example of functional airspace integration, leading to major safety and efficiency gains. For several years in a row, MUAC has been rated as one of the most cost-effective air navigation service providers in Europe. More
