We enable our Member States and partners to access common resources and implement air traffic management technology improvements to ensure the successful implementation of the Single European Sky.
Deploying common, vital and strategic aviation assets
In order to reduce fragmentation and optimise the use of common resources of air traffic management services at a pan-European level, EUROCONTROL has been tasked by our Member States, the European Commission and by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to provide support in the deployment of common, vital and strategic aviation assets in some key Single European Sky implementation areas.

These activities comprise a coordinating, planning and monitoring function at bilateral, multi-national, European and global levels.
Implementing relevant technological improvements
In particular, our network deployment coordination activity supports industry in the implementation of the relevant technological improvements not only for the central functions, but also on a local and regional basis.
Our support activities are delivered in line with the strategic vision of the Single European Sky initiative, and follow the direction given by the European ATM Master Plan to ensure full consistency and continuity between SESAR developments and deployments.
