Coordination of the Civil-Military Contribution to the Single European Sky

EUROCONTROL is the only intergovernmental organisation in Europe with civil-military air traffic management (ATM) coordination in its portfolio.

This is of relevance for the Single European Sky (SES) as military operations and military training are, according to the framework regulation, excluded from the scope of the SES.

In an official statement, EUROCONTROL Member States have, however, pledged to enhance civil-military cooperation and, if deemed necessary, facilitate cooperation between their armed forces in all matters of air traffic management.
